I enjoy the challenge of breathing life into the inanimate.  In earlier work, I would venture into old cemeteries in search of 'sculptural souls'.  In studio work, I loved working with props - seamlessly tying the object to the subject - telling the story while going unnoticed.  My miniquins project allows me to marry these concepts, but provides an additional dilemma of being unable to manipulate the environment and challenge of small format limitations.
