Floral Designs

I've worked in Floral Design since 1999. . . I started at family owned shops Diva Flowers / La Jolla Flower Basket in San Diego while attending UCSD.

I took a hiatus after moving back to Sacramento, but mid-2000s I designed with GRossi Florist for a number of years and in 2008 I even began my own floral business for events and weddings -  flowers by AlecBings.

After moving to Half Moon Bay in 2013, I wound down my floral design business for other pursuits, but still occasionally design for friends/family.

About the book:

Love is the yin and yang - it heals and destroys it's in its nature to do so, it's truth and lies, abundance and desperation, one's own birth and death - the key is finding the balance or moment of still in its intensity and then holding on for dear life by just letting it be.  'How do I love thee?!?' isn't just a loose collection of poems, but a deliberately interwoven story of an individual's journey to this understanding.  At its worst, it's innocent, misunderstood, rebellious, sarcastic, lost and dark.  At its best, it's cathartic, curious, humorous, empathetic, reflective and ultimately accepting.

At its heart, it's an emotional roller coaster that takes you. . . 'a little to the left'.

Reader reviews:

"A small but powerful book written and gifted to me by a friend, Brandy Chenoweth’s How do I Love Thee?!?  has tender grace to me.  Sometimes gentle, sometimes in your face and proud of it, it is a joy to read poetry by such a talented modern woman.  It is comforting to know that young men and women are still listening to the songs in their own hearts, and putting them on paper for others to experience."
